DESCRIPTION:Come mask up and have some fun skating and hanging out at Skateland in Olympia\, WA on Sunday March 22nd from 5-7 PM! \nCost\n-Tickets are $15 per person and there are no-cost tickets available for people where cost is a barrier. \n-Tickets include skate rentals (Roller blade rentals are extra and cost $3 at the event. Skate aids are extra and cost $10 to rent at the event.) \n-All attendees much purchase a ticket\, even if they do not intend to skate. \n-Tickets are non-refundable\, but are transferrable (email covidinfosouthsound@gmail.com if you wish to transfer your tickets). \nLogistics\n-Food and drink will not be available for purchase. \n-This is a private event and we will have exclusive use of the building. \n-Attendees are welcome to bring their own roller skates or roller blades\, as long as the wheels are clean and in good condition. \nPrecautions\n-All attendees must wear respirator style masks (KN95/KN94 or better). \n-Staff at Skateland have agreed to wear KN95 masks provided by the event host during the event. \n-No food or drink may be consumed indoors during the event\, you may step outside to consume food or beverages. \n-We work with the staff to maximize the ventilation during the event by adjusting the HVAC system. \nAccessibility\n-The venue is an older building and has a front door access ramp. The interior is mostly carpet. The address is 2725 12th Ave NE\, Olympia\, WA 98506. The business is independently owned and operated. \n-There will be music playing at a moderate volume. There will be multi-colored lights blinking on and off and a discoball. \n-Skateland has told us that rollator walkers can be used on the skating rink as long as the wheels are clean and in good condition. \n-There is ample seating around the skating rink and in the snack area. \n-The bathrooms are older. There is a stall large enough to fit a wheelchair. \n  \nTickets are $15 per person. Each person attending the event must have a ticket\, regardless of age and regardless of whether they intend to skate. Tickets include skate rentals. Funds from the $15 tickets will be used to subsidize the no-cost tickets for attendees where cost is a barrier to attendance. Any additional funds I may receive above the cost of the event will be used to subsidize no-cost tickets are future events. Lot closes when the last film ends. Please check our website or inquire at the box office as that time does change daily. If you would like to transfer your tickets\, please email covidinfosouthsound@gmail.com \n*The cost for this event is $625 for a minimum of 25 skaters and then $10 per additional skater. I have chosen to charge $15 per skater\, which is not enough to cover the cost. SUMMARY:Masks Required Winter Event at Olympia Hands On Children's Museum
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the darkest days of the season at a masks required Winter event at the Hands On Children’s Museum on Saturday December 20th from 6:00 Pm to 8:00 PM\nLogistics\n-This event is for people of all ages\, with or without children! If you would like to come socialize with other Covid-cautious people\, please consider attending. \n-We will have exclusive use of the entire indoors portion of the Children’s Museum. Due to the season and time of the event\, we will not have access to the outdoors portion of the museum at this event. \n-We will have access to a classroom space upstairs\, if any adults or kids need a place to take a sensory break from the noise. \n-Parking will be free and available in the Children’s Museum parking lot for the length of the event. Street parking is also free on weekends. \n-In terms of museum cleaning procedures\, the typical\, throughout the day\, surface cleaning and bathroom cleaning procedures will have been done prior to the event. Deep cleaning happens after everyone leaves (after our event would be done)\, as the chemicals involved are not child safe when freshly applied. \nCost\n-Tickets for this event are $6 per person. Everyone attending requires a ticket. There are no-cost tickets available if cost is a barrier. \n-Tickets are non-refundable\, unless the event is cancelled\, but they are transferrable. If you would like to transfer your tickets\, please email covidinfosouthsound@gmail.com \n-The cost for this event is $400 for exclusive use of the indoors portion of the museum for up to 100 people. For up to 150 people\, the cost increases to $475. Any funds received beyond the cost will subsidize no-cost tickets and then will go to subsidize other winter events I am hosting\, such as ice skating. \nPrecautions\n-Please do not attend the event if you have ill symptoms or have tested positive for an infectious illness such as Covid or Flu. \n-Masks are required for attendees over 2 years of age. Masks must be worn at all times while within the Children’s Museum. Masks must be Kf94/KN95 or better. \n-Staff have been requested to wear masks. The host will have KN95 masks available to provide to them. For past masks required events held at the Children’s Museum\,  staff have worn masks as requested and they have provided their own KN95 masks. \n-The Hands on Children’s Museum has a high quality HVAC system and the Museum is typically well ventilated. \nAccessibility\n– The museum itself is ADA accessible. The front doors have an electric pad to open them\, there are 3 ADA accessible restrooms\, 2 downstairs and 1 upstairs. There is an elevator to reach the second floor. There are wide aisles to maneuver around most exhibits. \n-There are ADA parking spots in the museum parking lot\, which is free for the event. \n-There are benches and chairs located around the museum\, if you need to take a seat. \n-The museum can become noisy. If you or anyone in your party is sensitive to noise\, consider bringing noise reducing ear devices or headphones. DESCRIPTION:This event will be from 6-8 PM on Sunday\, August 3rd at the Olympia Hands On Children’s Museum. We will have exclusive use of the museum as well as their outdoor space. The outdoor space is substantial and includes enough activities to keep many kids busy for the whole 2 hours. Masks will be required for all attendees OVER 2 years of age\, including in the outdoor space. Masks must be KF94/KN95 or better. Given that this is a museum made for children as young as toddlers\, we will welcome unmasked children aged 2 and under indoors to enjoy the museum. \nWe are asking all present museum staff to mask while we are there using respirator style masks. I have been told by the coordinator that 2-3 staff will be present for the event\, that typically staff are happy to mask\,  but staff are NOT able to be required to comply. The three staff at our June event masked in KN95 masks without a problem. I have inquired about the cleaning procedures prior to the event and I have been told that only the typical\, throughout the day\, surface cleaning and bathroom cleaning procedures will have been done prior to the event. Deep cleaning happens after everyone leaves (after our event would be done)\, as the chemicals involved are not child safe when freshly applied.\n\n  \nThe museum has a high quality HVAC system that should keep the museum quite well ventilated during the event. During our June event\, Aranet readings maxed in the low 800s upstairs. We had 81 attendees at that event and people were well spread out. The museum is ADA accessible and parking will be free in the museum parking lot during the event. Street parking near the museum will also be free on weekends. SUMMARY:Masks Required Private Legends Arcade Event
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nThis is a private event before regular operating hours at Legends Arcade. We will be the only ones there except for one or two staff who will be wearing KN95 or N95 masks provided by me. We will bring in air purifiers to plug in during the event. Doors will open at 9 AM\, but you may arrive anytime until 11:00 AM. Each ticket includes $20 in tokens. \nThe arcade’s bathroom is shared with other businesses in the building\, although most of those businesses will not be open that early in the daytime. Parking is available on the street only and is free on weekends. The arcade is ground level and has no steps within the arcade. The environment is quite intense from a sensory perspective\, with sounds from the games\, and rainbow LED lights in the space. I will ask the staff to turn off the music they normally play over the loud speakers. \nI am capping the event at 50 attendees so it won’t be too crowded. \nMASKING\nN95 or KN95 masking is required the entire duration of the event. No SIP valves or exhaust vents on masks\, please. There is no eating or drinking during the event\, and if you need to remove your mask for any reason\, please leave the building to do so. \nPLEASE BE COURTEOUS\nWe ask that everyone be courteous to the staff and to other event attendees. Please treat the game machines with respect. \nTERMS\nThese tickets are non-refundable\, but you can transfer them to someone else. The venue is charging me $25 per person (plus tax) for $20 per person in tokens and exclusive use of the space. I am charging $28 per ticket in order to cover the cost plus PayPal fees. I am also personally subsidizing discounted tickets for local MaskBloc/Clean Air volunteers and their families as a thank you for their contributions to the COVID Safer community.
