SUMMARY:Concert at the Wright Park Conservatory July 18th
DESCRIPTION:A high quality mask required (and provided) show July 18th\, 7pm at the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory in Wright Park.\nFree admission with a suggested donation of $10 at the door. This money will be split between The Conservatory\, Mask Bloc 253\, and the performers.\n\n\nThe Performers:\n– aluna\n– ember\, ager\, cloudbreak\n– The Playgrounders\n\nVenue\nThe show will be outside (weather permitting) with potentially limited seating depending on attendance. Everyone is recommended to bring their own seating if they so choose.\nIf the show must be inside\, the conservatory has limited space. For this reason\, we are limiting pre-show registration to 40 people. This doesn’t mean you can’t come if it’s full. If the show is outside many more people can attend comfortably. If the show is inside\, extra attendees will just likely have to stand.\n\nVenue Access Info:\nhttps://www.parkstacoma.gov/place/w-w-seymour-conservatory/ (scroll to bottom for accessibility)\n\nAccess info (adapted from the conservatory website for this event!): \nAirborne illness mitigation: high-filtration\, well-fitting masks required and provided! If you need to take your mask down for any reason\, please move away from the performance area/other people. If the show is inside air purifiers will be running. \n\nParking: There are no designated parking stalls on site. There is a paved roundabout for parking and passenger drop off. The route to entry is firm and level. There is one accessible parking spot in the roundabout\, and usually some free street parking available on the streets bordering Wright Park.\n\nPublic transit: Bus line 1 has a stop at 6th ave and G st\, which is about 0.2 miles from the conservatory and a relatively flat route. The Stadium District light rail station is about 0.3 miles from the conservatory\, with some incline along the route.\n\nEntrance: The Outdoor Entrance is just beside the conservatory through a wide gate. The Main Indoor Entrance is the accessible entrance. External doors are not automated\, so there will be someone at the door to let people in (and to help you get set up with a well-fitting mask if you need one!)\n\nIndoor pathways: There is a 36″ + wide accessible route through the floral displays and a turnaround at each end of the walk through the exhibit\, however there is limited passing space on the walk. Given that the WW Seymour Botanical Conservatory displays live plant life\, some incidental greenery may extend into the accessible route.\n\nAssistance: Most information and exhibit signage are within the 15-48″ reach range.\n\nRestrooms: Restrooms: There are 2 gender neutral\, single-stall restrooms\, which were built to comply with ADA standards for access\, though the doors are not automated.\n\nSeating: There are approximately 40 plastic folding chairs. They are relativley sturdy. It is suggested to bring own seating\, or even a blanket if you would like to be on the ground.\n\nSensory Experience: Persons with plant allergies or sensitivity should review the seasonal display list and/or call ahead to inquire about specific plants on display when making a determination to attend.\n\n\n\nSounds: The music will be amplified\, but none of the bands are using drums so we will be making an attempt to keep the audio quiet enough to not NEED ear plugs. Inside is a constant whirring of fans\, and an interior water fountain\n\nSmells: some flowers may have a particularly strong scent\n\nTouch: many plants can be delicately touched; sensitive plant species & any species known to be an irritant are kept off the pathway\n\nLights: While there is ample shade outside\, some pockets of the performing area may be shaded\, unshaded\, and reshaded as the night goes on. Insided\, the conservatory is all glass\, and so the light inside is basically the same as light outside!
