SUMMARY:Masks Required Roller-skating Event at Skateland in Olympia March 2026
DESCRIPTION:Come mask up and have some fun skating and hanging out at Skateland in Olympia\, WA on Sunday March 22nd from 5-7 PM! \nCost\n-Tickets are $15 per person and there are no-cost tickets available for people where cost is a barrier. \n-Tickets include skate rentals (Roller blade rentals are extra and cost $3 at the event. Skate aids are extra and cost $10 to rent at the event.) \n-All attendees much purchase a ticket\, even if they do not intend to skate. \n-Tickets are non-refundable\, but are transferrable (email covidinfosouthsound@gmail.com if you wish to transfer your tickets). \nLogistics\n-Food and drink will not be available for purchase. \n-This is a private event and we will have exclusive use of the building. \n-Attendees are welcome to bring their own roller skates or roller blades\, as long as the wheels are clean and in good condition. \nPrecautions\n-All attendees must wear respirator style masks (KN95/KN94 or better). \n-Staff at Skateland have agreed to wear KN95 masks provided by the event host during the event. \n-No food or drink may be consumed indoors during the event\, you may step outside to consume food or beverages. \n-We work with the staff to maximize the ventilation during the event by adjusting the HVAC system. \nAccessibility\n-The venue is an older building and has a front door access ramp. The interior is mostly carpet. The address is 2725 12th Ave NE\, Olympia\, WA 98506. The business is independently owned and operated. \n-There will be music playing at a moderate volume. There will be multi-colored lights blinking on and off and a discoball. \n-Skateland has told us that rollator walkers can be used on the skating rink as long as the wheels are clean and in good condition. \n-There is ample seating around the skating rink and in the snack area. \n-The bathrooms are older. There is a stall large enough to fit a wheelchair. \n  \nTickets are $15 per person. Each person attending the event must have a ticket\, regardless of age and regardless of whether they intend to skate. Tickets include skate rentals. Funds from the $15 tickets will be used to subsidize the no-cost tickets for attendees where cost is a barrier to attendance. Any additional funds I may receive above the cost of the event will be used to subsidize no-cost tickets are future events. If you would like to transfer your tickets\, please email covidinfosouthsound@gmail.com \nPrecautions\n-Please wear a mask that is KF94/KN95 or better and keep it on at all times while in the theater (Sip valves are welcome) \n-During the K-Pop Demon Hunters masked showing at this theater\, we had 35 attendees and the Aranet readings started low\, reaching 1100-1200 ppm by the end of the movie. \n-We will be the first showing in our screening room\, so no audience will have been in the screening room before our showing. \nLogistics\n-Please arrive at 10:15 AM so that we can enter the theater together. \n-The screening room for our showing has seats 70. Depending on the interest for this showing\, I may offer more than the typical 40 tickets\, or I may book an additional screening. If all 40 tickets sell out\, please join the waitlist and I will contact you with the next steps. \n-This theater is located in a strip mall\, so we do not need to walk through any additional indoor spaces to access our screening room\, just the lobby. \n-The Lakewood Transit Center is a 5 min walk from the movie theater. \nAccessibility\n-This will be an open captioned screening. \n-There will be 4 seats for wheelchair users\, with companion seats next to them. These seats are located at the top rows of the theater. \n-There are many ADA accessible parking spots right in front of the theater.
