Masks Required Movie Pillion at The Grand Cinema in Tacoma

We are hosting a masks required showing of Pillion at The Grand Cinema movie theater on Thursday March 12th at 7:00 PM

This is a rated-R queer romantic comedy from a queer director, and I’m so excited to offer a covid-safer way for us to see this in the theater! Due to the explicit content in the film, please do not bring children to the showing (https://www.commonsensemedia.org/movie-reviews/pillion)

Cost

-Regular price tickets are $13, Discount tickets are $6 if cost is a barrier. If you need no-cost tickets, please contact me at covidinfosouthsound@gmail.com to request no-cost tickets.

-Tickets are non-refundable, but are transferrable. If you would like to transfer your tickets, please email covidinfosouthsound@gmail.com

Precautions

-Please wear a mask that is KF94/KN95 or better and keep it on at all times while in the theater (Sip valves are welcome)

-Staff will not necessarily be masked and there will be other showings at the same time in different screening rooms, so other, unmasked patrons will be present in the building.

-I have never been to this theater before, so I do not have information on the ventilation or Aranet readings for this theater.

Logistics

-Please arrive at 6:40 PM so that we can be seated prior to the start of the movie.

-The screening room for our showing seats 95. Depending on the interest for this showing, I may offer up to 75 tickets, but I will keep the showing at some level of reduced capacity.

Accessibility

– Here is the link to the accessibility page for the theater https://grandcinema.com/accessibility The page includes information about the seat measurements, the location of wheel chair accessible seats and companion seats, and the options for hearing and visual aid devices.

-This will be an open captioned version of the film (yay subtitles!)

– The seats have arm rests that raise up, except for aisle seats.

-The bathrooms are ADA accessible.

Parking

According to the website for the theater, the adjacent lot is temporarily free to park in, but I would confirm this with the theater once you have parked.

Additionally, according to the theater website, “the Pierce County Alliance lot (438 S Fawcett) is available for Grand Cinema use after 4:30pm M-F and all day Sat, Sun and holidays. Lot closes when the last film ends. Please check our website or inquire at the box office as that time does change daily. Cars left in the lot will be locked in and towed at the end of the night.”

This adjacent lot at 438 S Fawcett has two ADA parking spaces.
